 As a company providing conference facilities and equipment
for organisations and small businesses, New Image (Public Relations)
Ltd. fully accept it's responsibilities associated with The
Disability discrimination act 1995 we enclose a practical guide
on making access to goods and services easier for disabled
customers. The purpose of the guide is to advise conference
organisers about best practice for ensuring that conferences
are accessible to disabled people and about how to make sensible
and informed decisions when assessing both the accessibility
of conference venues and the conference arrangements themselves.
We know that there is an appreciation of the needs of disabled
customers and a willingness to do what is practically achievable
to improve both conference venues and service provision for
all delegates. This guide has been written specifically with
conference organisers and other small service providers in
mind, and we are certain that you will find in it plenty of
practical suggestions for how to respond positively to the
Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
The Centre for Accessible Environments, together with the
Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and Eversheds LLP,
has prepared this guide for conference organisers.
